If you’ve seen some of our paddles listed as “IPMA Approved,” here’s what that means—and why it matters to you.
The International Pickleball Manufacturers Association (IPMA) was created to level the playing field for small and independent paddle brands like ours. As the cost of USAPA and UPA certification has skyrocketed, it has become harder and significantly more expensive for passionate builders and innovators to get paddles approved without passing significant costs along to players.
IPMA tests paddles to the same standards as published USAPA standards, but with a more accessible, community-focused approach. That means we as a small manufacturer can focus on quality, not red tape—and you get high-performing paddles built for the game you love, without the inflated price tag.
Whether you play for fun, compete in local tournaments, or just love supporting small businesses, IPMA approval helps ensure the paddle in your hand was built by people who care about fair play both on and off the courts.
Brick House is proud to be part of the movement.
Let’s keep pickleball open, affordable, and awesome—for everyone.
