Designed for: Pop, Soft feel, Power and Control
A customer sent us some artwork and asked if we could create a Canadian edition 87 paddle, so why not make it available as a limited run? These were a lot of fun to produce, and like all our paddles, they are 100% made in Canada.
Our Retro 87 elongated series paddles are crafted with a natural cherry wood playing surface over a fiberglass substructure and a 12mm high-density poly core.
The inherent beauty of cherry wood, combined with the golden amber finish, enhances the uniqueness of these paddles, making them as visually appealing as they are functional on the court.
“The 87 has power that is reserved for when it is needed. It is responsive and offers precision like no other paddle I have seen. It excels in deep serves, returns, ground strokes, and dinking. It truly is an exceptional piece of work.” – LM, British Columbia
The combination of cherry wood and fiberglass in this paddle provides a supremely comfortable feel, offering ample pop for players seeking added power while maintaining excellent control.
The surface finish, along with the cherry wood playing surface in our Retro series, generates significant spin without the need for additional textures. While other paddles may feature applied textures for immediate spin, they often degrade quickly. Our commitment to quality prioritizes durability over temporary advantages, ensuring long-term performance.
The size and shape of the 87 model are designed for those who don’t mind sacrificing some paddle width in exchange for increased reach and prefer to have the power and sweet spot more toward the head of the paddle.
The Retro 87 paddle is an excellent all-around choice for beginners and players up to approximately a 4.0 skill level.
If you’re seeking something truly distinctive to stand out from the crowd, the RETRO series is an excellent choice.
